Small Group Kick-Off is Coming!

Hello fellow Contact Team! Just wanted to keep you informed...

We had a GREAT Coaches Meeting last night to kick off the new year. Drew is running full force with the small group kick-off that he is planning for Sunday Feb. 14th. As you probably know, The Contact Team is involved with presenting the theme to the congregation along with putting together the booklet for everyone. We threw around some ideas last night and I think we are planning on going in the direction (along with Jay's series in Jan.) of the whole "Game Plan", "Getting in the Game", "Joining the Team"....type of idea. Maybe using all the sports--basketball, baseball, football, Nascar, etc. to illustrate this theme.

Everyone seemed to get excited about the idea of a Tail-gate Party to kick off the whole thing...and I know y'all like to PARTY!! :) Please comment or email me with any ideas that jump into your head concerning this small group launch. meghanhdavis@hotmail.com

Also, I am heading to the Facilities Meeting tomorrow (Wed 1/13/10) night. That team has broken down the on-going list into the top ten. They will present it at the meeting and let teams sign up to take over whatever project. Please feel free to attend...Brooks to gonna have yummy food!! Its at 6:00 and I would love some opinions...

Get your thinking caps on! I would love to have an Easter shirt design for this year. The Christmas ones were popular so I think we can do it again. I would like to use the words "rise up" but need some ideas for a design, colors, style, etc.

Thanks so much for all of your help! I couldn't do this without you...stay warm! :)

  1. Meg,
I think the team thing is a great idea. Maybe we could get "jerseys" with something like "got game" on them or whatever the motto is going to be. But have them printed like they are football jerseys, or softball jerseys...
And somebody needs to build a football goal to be used for something. I will keep thinking.
